I am truly Bendigo born and bred. My family has lived and worked in Bendigo for six generations and we have been strong contributing members of the community for more than 100 years.
I completed all of my schooling in Bendigo, and have worked professionally within the banking sector, as well as our family funeral business, throughout the past 25 years. I have a beautiful wife, Hayley, and two gorgeous children, Grace and Xavier. Grace attends Catherine McAuley College and Xavier is at St. Therese’s Primary. My wife is also an accountant and someone who provides exceptional insight into all things tax related.
I worked for one of Australia's leading banks for almost 20 years. As a Branch Manager and more recently a Commercial Banking Manager, I gained extensive knowledge of the finance and brokerage industries. The more time I spent in a bank, the more I saw the value in what a broker had to offer clients. Bank's are often focused on shareholder performance but I believe that the interests of the client should always remain the priority.
Additionally, having been involved in the day to day management of our family business for almost four years, I also have a unique insight into the daily requirements and financial pressures felt by businesses today. This is a business I continue to have involvement in from a strategic and financial performance perspective.
